What is Eczema?
Eczema, also called Atopic Dermatitis, is a very common skin condition marked by a more severe form of very dry, itchy and inflamed patches of skin. Eczema can begin at a very young age but it can also affect teenagers and adults.
What are the signs of Eczema and how do you know if you have it?
The main signs of Eczema is extremely dry, rough, flaky, inflamed; and irritated skin. Individuals who have eczema may also have red patches often covered with small “blisters” that cause intense itching. The appearance of these patches changes over time and, depending on the severity of the condition, they can also become thick, rough and very dry.
What to look for:
Eczema can occur anywhere on the skin. However, it most commonly affects the arms, inner elbows, backs of the knees; or the scalp.
A common myth about eczema:
It is a complete myth that eczema is contagious. If you’re struggling with eczema, there is no way that you will spread it to anyone else by coming into physical contact with them. If someone else is struggling with eczema, you won’t contract it by touching their rash.
Thoclor’s solution to treating eczema
Daily use of GF2 can make a real difference, helping to strengthen and restore your skin barrier, making it less porous, decreasing the number of allergens and irritants that penetrate the skin, helping to control and soothe flare-ups. Using our GF2 formulations and sticking to a twice-daily routine will make a real difference to your skin and your quality of life. Our light hypochlorous acid mist offers a refreshing and soothing feeling on your skin, with a quick-drying time.
Our GF2 is revolutionary, combining sensoriality and efficacy that leaves an immediate feeling of freshness on your skin while ensuring powerful restorative benefits.
GF1 Aftercare can be used as a treatment for individuals with more severe types of eczema. Regular use of GF1 will reduce pain and inflammation whilst aiding healing. As the GF1 dries after the first spray the skin will feel smooth.
The hypochlorous acid formulation of our GF Skin Series is an excellent anti-inflammatory with immune-modulatory effects for the skin. This in turn helps to treat and manage inflammation and discomfort associated with eczema, although it cannot cure it. We recommend using GF2 Skin Rejuvenation for the treatment of less severe types of eczema.
