Any infective skin condition (bacterial, fungal, viral) may also benefit from hypochlorous acid application. These include but are not limited to athlete's foot, nappy rash, umbilical cord infections, furuncles, sore throats, eye infections (bacterial and viral), open sores, chronic leg ulcers, burns, cuts and abrasions, gingivitis (gum disease) and chronic nail infections. Thoclor's hypochlorous acid also alleviates the symptoms of conditions like eczema.

In lighter concentrations, like found in our GF2 Skin Rejuvenation and GF2 for Him products, the hypochlorous acid stops sub-clinical chronic inflammation in the skin, halting the process of inflammageing (or ageing due to inflammation) with regular use. This formulation is also good for acne, rosacea, shingles, fever blisters, sunburn and calming the skin after shaving.

Hypochlorous acid is completely safe for use in people of all ages, as well as in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

It is important to always keep your Thoclor hypochlorous acid in a dark glass bottle, away from UV light. Keep it at room temperature and never mix your Thoclor hypochlorous acid with any other products. Discard after the expiry date has been reached or 12 months after opening.

A spray is a phenomenon of a liquid in small droplets floating through the air.  Spraying is executed with the help of spraying pumps. Generally, spraying Thoclor's hypochlorous acid causes the skin to get wet.

Soaking involves placing a hypochlorous acid-soaked surgical swab onto a wound for 10 - 15 minutes and allowing the wound to become saturated or permeated with Thoclor's hypochlorous acid.

Rinsing is accomplished by washing lightly, as by pouring hypochlorous acid into or over a wound.

pH (potential of hydrogen) is a measure of the activity of hydrogen ions (H+) in a solution and, therefore, its acidity or alkalinity. Most substances have a pH in the range of 0 to 14. Aqueous solutions with pH values lower than 7 are considered acidic, while pH values higher than 7 are considered alkaline. A pH of 7 is considered to be pH neutral.

The pH of hypochlorous acid is 5.6. That is very slightly acidic - you would not taste the acidity of hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is essentially tasteless and odourless.

The safety benefit of using Thoclor's hypochlorous acid solution is that it also eliminates any chemical hazards. According to the EPA, 27,000 hotel workers are injured by chemicals every year. The California Department of Health conducted a study and they concluded that there is an increase in workplace asthma and other respiratory ailments that could be attributed to the use of chemical cleaners and sanitizers. These are a few examples of why it is so important to ensure that any sanitising, skincare or cosmetic products you use do not contain any harmful toxins or chemicals. Thoclor's hypochlorous acid solution contains zero toxins, it does not irritate skin nor the eyes, and can be inhaled without any side-effects.

Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is a clear liquid, slightly more viscous than water. It has strong oxidizing properties and is useful as a powerful bleaching agent and a disinfectant. Its disinfectant powers do not match that of hypochlorous acid. Hydrogen peroxide also has a toxic effect on living cells (cytotoxic).

Thoclor's hypochlorous acid does not contain any peroxide.

Ozone is a colourless, unstable, toxic gas with a pungent odour and powerful oxidizing properties, formed from oxygen by electrical discharges or ultraviolet light. It differs from normal oxygen (O₂) in having three atoms in its molecule (O₃).

Thoclor's hypochlorous acid does not contain any ozone.

A fungus (plural fungi) is an organism that digests its food externally and absorbs the nutrient molecules into its cells. Fungi occur in every environment on earth and play very important roles in most ecosystems. Some fungi are parasites on plants and animals, including humans. They are responsible for numerous diseases, such as athlete's foot and ringworm in humans.

Yeasts are single-celled fungi, a few species of which are commonly used to leaven bread and ferment alcoholic beverages. A few yeasts, such as Candida albicans, can cause infection in humans.

Moulds, or mold, are various fungi that cover surfaces in the form of biofilm and usually produce masses of spores. Mould is often a problem in damp areas such as basements and bathrooms, and after floods. It can be seen on surfaces of walls but also grows deep within, and produces a distinctive dusty, slightly pungent smell. It grows on food in closed containers, even in refrigerators.

A microorganism or microbe is an organism that is microscopic (invisible to the naked eye). Microorganisms are often illustrated using single-celled, or unicellular organisms.

Algae range from single-celled organisms to multi-cellular organisms, some with fairly complex differentiated forms and (if marine) called seaweeds. All algae have photosynthetic machinery ultimately derived from the cyanobacteria and produce oxygen as a by-product of photosynthesis.  Algae are usually found in damp places or bodies of water and thus are common in terrestrial as well as aquatic environments

A biofilm is a complex aggregation of microorganisms marked by the excretion of a protective and adhesive slimy matrix. Biofilms can contain many different types of microorganisms, such as bacteria, protozoa and algae. Biofilms have been implicated in a wide variety of microbial infections in the body, including common problems such as urinary tract infections, catheter infections, middle ear infections, the formation of dental plaque, gingivitis (gum disease) and coatings on contact lenses. Biofilms cause the spread of infection through drinking water and are a major problem in wounds, where they protect the pathogens from attempts to kill the germs.

Because Hypochlorous acid caused the eradication of disease-forming micro-organisms through a physical destruction of the germs, they cannot develop resistance against its use.
